About Kendwa Breezes

Accommodation

Unlike other places, Kendwa Breezes has been topographically built on the descending Kendwa rocks all with a non-stop view of the Indian Ocean panorama. The unique design of these chalets have been inspired from the ARAB FORT (which was built in Zanzibar between 1698 and 1701) but architecturally structured to create a modern Muslim ambience.

Kendwa Breezes consists of individual and twin spacious seafront chalets. Each Chalet has been fitted with large glass doors and windows to allow maximum flow of breezes from the Ocean and also has its own seafront deck. Twin chalets have interconnecting doors.

The chalets have all been tastefully furnished with the Zanzibar style four poster beds as well as other locally and naturally inspired wooden décor. Amenities in the room include: hot and cold water facilities, split unit air conditioning systems, ceiling fans, hairdryers, mosquito nets, electronic safes etc. There is also a substantial capacity of a standby power generator in case of power shortage or disruption.

Swimming

Unlike other commercial oriented places, for swimming you either use a swimming pool or wait
for the tide to come in, at Kendwa Breezes…you swim at your leisure! There is always a tide,
so you have natural 24 hour access to the crystal clear azure waters of the Indian Ocean.  
All you have to do is enjoy and have fun!

Food & Restaurant Services

Our main seafront restaurant, which is built with African style makuti thatched roof and local
wood structures, will serve fresh catch of the day, from the local fishermen from the nearby
village. Our seafood selection includes kingfish, calamari, lobsters, shrimps, crabs…just to
name a few. The meals are served on the restaurant patio but on a number of special occasions,
candle light dinners are set up on the beach to create spectacular and romantic ambience
with every bite.

Our local renowned chefs shall also prepare delicious appetizing cuisine from the local ingredients
including fresh coconut and aromatic spices. On special requests, local foods like Ugali and
Nyama Choma can be prepared.
